We have made some exciting improvements to Newham.gov.uk, and there's plenty more on the way...
Why we are improving the website
We want to make it as easy as possible for residents, businesses and visitors to the borough to find the information they need and access our services.
Our website is essential to achieving this, which is why we will be busily updating our content and adding new features and functionality over the coming months.
Rather than waiting until all the changes have been made, we will roll out our new content and features gradually. This way we can listen to
your feedback and make improvements as we go along.
What we have done so far

Feedback from residents has suggested that our old homepage was too cluttered, so we have reduced the amount of information, changed the layout and added a slide show box to promote our top stories.
Our search facility is now faster and more accurate to help you to navigate around the site. It even provides a list of suggested search terms when you start to type in the search box.
We have also introduced some new handy new features:
- My Newham: Your one-stop-shop for making reports, requests and payments, without having to re-enter your details each time.
- My Neighbourhood: Type in your postcode to see a list of services in your local area, plus details of your local councillor and next bin collection.
- My Maps: Use our interactive map to find council services and places of interest near to you and throughout Newham.
Why not take a look around the site and see what you think. We’ve still got some work to do, however over time, and with your help, we hope our new interactive features will soon become time-saving tools that you can use every time you visit Newham.gov.uk.

Your opinions are crucial to making our new website a success. If you have any comments or suggestions to make about the changes we have made so far, please

Newham.gov.uk will become a bit of a construction site over the coming months as we make the improvements. So we'd also appreciate it if you could also
use our online form to let us know if you come across any broken links or mistakes.
