Saturday: urgent requirements and appointments only
Our emergency burial service is available Saturday afternoons from 12pm to 4pm, and from 9am to 4pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. If you require this service please call 07801244805. You will then be required to attend the Register Office to register the death during the following week.
Appointments
Registration of births and deaths
You do not need to make an appointment for general enquiries or to register a birth, stillbirth or death, however we recommend that you arrive at 3.45pm at the latest to register a birth or death. We cannot guarantee that we will see you if you arrive after 4pm.
Marriage notice
Due to the increased demand for marriage notices we are only able to see Newham residents or couples marrying in Newham on a walk in basis on weekdays and at present this is subject to staff availability. If you wish to give notice on a Saturday, you must make an appointment in advance.
